The sky starts here.

Since 2021 we have been bringing Côte d’Ivoire closer to the stars: public stargazing, school clubs, and asteroid search campaigns with the International Astronomical Union and NASA. Next step: a national observatory.

Move closer to a celestial body: each one is a door to a section of the site.

Six celestial rocks bear our signature

In 2022, a team of AIA volunteers detected six previously unknown asteroids by analysing Pan-STARRS telescope images from Abidjan — as part of the International Astronomical Search Collaboration campaigns, under the IAU and NASA umbrella.

Proof that science is also made from here. Campaigns continue: the next detection might carry your name.
